A Punch of Color

Tuesday, October 28, 2014

I love bold prints and colors, especially when it comes to children’s clothing. While trying to find some different clothing options for my twin girls, I discovered MarKoosModernDesign based out of Omaha, Nebraska. I was instantly drawn to the color and print combinations and excited to connect with the owner, Aubrey, at the Aksarben Village Farmer’s Market. In addition to selling items at the farmer's market, she also sells off of her website and has an Etsy shop. Her business started due to her “passion for fashion” and having a difficult time finding pieces that she wanted her own daughters to wear. There was a great selection of pieces that included children’s dresses, tunics, shorts and accessories and she just happened to be having a sale to clear out some of the warmer weather items. I decided on two colorful tunics that are a little big for my twins right now, but I plan on taking them out again in the spring. Aubrey also takes custom orders and before I left she gave me a sneak peek of one of her Christmas dresses she was working on. Passion for fashion, indeed.
